Institutional Representatives

2022 AWHE Institutional Representatives

What is an Institutional Representative?

The Institutional Representative (IR) serves an important role in the statewide network. Some ways that IRs serve the organization include the following:

  • Serve in the role for two years with an option for reappointment as their institution’s official representative to the Arizona Women in Higher Education network
  • Participate in AWHE sponsored meetings and events. Active participation as an IR means attending a majority of meetings, including ideally at least one in-person IR meeting per year.
  • Serve on the Annual Conference planning team! This includes logistical arrangements, marketing, registration, workshops, networking events, and evaluation.
  • Attend and serve at the annual conference

Benefits of serving as an Institutional Representative (IR)

  • Make connections with other women and leadership in the higher education space
  • Effect change for students and women at institutions across the state
  • Expand your skill set with any of our Conference Planning Committees
  • Enhance your resume with volunteer and serving opportunities
  • And More!

Volunteer Interest Form

Arizona Women in Higher Education is run entirely by volunteers! While we have folks who serve as Executive Board members for 3 year terms and apply to serve as Institutional Representatives for 2 year terms, we understand that many folks may not be able to commit to volunteer for those periods of time.

If you would like to potentially be involved in smaller projects that required a shorter period of time commitment, please fill out and submit this form. As project needs arise, a member of our team will contact you based off your submitted interests.
