Our Programs

At AWHE, our programs are the heart of how we bring our mission to life. Rooted in our commitment to connection, leadership development, and equity, each initiative is designed to support women across all roles and stages of their careers in higher education.

Whether you’re building your leadership identity, seeking community, or stepping into new opportunities, AWHE’s programs provide the tools, relationships, and inspiration to help you grow and lead with confidence.

Together with our Chapter Leaders and members, this collective of volunteers creates meaningful opportunities for connection, professional development, and leadership growth throughout the year.

Gather, learn, and connect with women leaders across Arizona once a year at the Annual Conference

One-on-one and group mentoring support and growth through regular mentor-mentee connections.

A six-month leadership program designed to equip early and mid-career women in higher education with the confidence, resilience, and skills needed to thrive as leaders.

AWHE is powered by a diverse and dedicated community of women across Arizona’s colleges and universities who bring our mission to life every day. Whether serving at the statewide level or within their local institutions, our members form the foundation of a powerful network committed to uplifting women in higher education.

At the core of our leadership team is our Board of Directors, who guide AWHE’s strategic direction, programs, and partnerships. They help with the administrative aspects of AWHE and ensure that all voices are valued and heard.

Supporting the Board are our dedicated Institutional Representatives, who play a vital role in planning and executing our Annual Conference, coordinating our mentoring program and leadership institute, building partnerships and providing outreach to our members.

AWHE members—faculty, staff, administrators, and students across Arizona’s community, Tribal, and university campuses—advance women’s leadership. They connect through networking, mentorship, and professional development.
